Penske analyzed truck rental data and determined that in 2015, Atlanta was the number one moving destination in the US. Kerry Gilbert, Penske’s area vice president for the mid-south, explained of Atlanta, “It’s a great place to live and work: there are a lot of attractions here and it’s a major metropolitan area that is in close proximity to the state’s natural areas of beauty. There are a large number of major employers here and it is a centralized area for transportation operations on the East Coast.”
