When you visit the pumpkin patch this year, don’t just look at the large traditional pumpkins – many farms grow pumpkins and other gourds in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors.  Select several that catch your eye and place them on your mantle, side tables, and shelves. For a unique look, you can also display them on cake plates or other pedestals you have on hand.

Create easy DIY wall sconces with mason jars and twine. Hang cup hooks on the ceiling and fill a pair of mason jars with fragrant potpourri or cinnamon sticks and LED candles. Choose colors that complement your mantle decor, and add a splash of deep red, orange, or yellow to give it a fall feel!

Create a fun and funky fall wreath that the kids can help with! Visit your local craft shop and purchase a foam circle wreath and mini pom-poms in reds, oranges, browns, and other fall colors. Use a hot glue gun to place the pom poms onto the wreath. Hang the wreath on its own or with a pretty fall ribbon.

Go to your local fabric store and pick up sparkling fabric in orange or other fall colors. Use a hot glue gun to adhere the fabric on mason jars lids. Glue these to a pretty white platter and add stems and finish the pumpkin look!
