New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Atlanta

Ring in the New Year with family and friends at one of these fun New Year’s Eve celebrations happening in Atlanta!

Bring the family to the Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta, billed as the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Southeast! The fun starts at 7 pm with live music from Collective Soul, Ne-Yo, and other fantastic artists. At the stroke of midnight, the 800-pound peach will reach its final point of descent, and the sky will illuminate with brilliant fireworks and a shower of confetti. For more information on this fun event, now in its 28th year, visit the event website.

Duluth kicking off the New Year with the New Year’s Extravaganza at the Duluth Town Green. This free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, delicious food, a giant snow slide and inflatables for the kids, and live music from Craig Campbell and the Highbeams! At midnight, the iconic symbol of Duluth will arise, followed by an incredible fireworks show. For more information, visit the event website.

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is sold out, but the family can enjoy the festivities with the free Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Parade on Saturday morning! The fun starts at 9 am at the corner of Peachtree Street and Baker Street. Kids will love the marching bands, cheerleaders, and of course, the decked-out floats! For more information, including the parade route, click here.

If the kids won’t make it till midnight, there are many venues that are hosting early New Year’s Eve celebrations. At Stone Mountain Park, the ongoing Christmas celebration will be followed at 8:30 by New Year’s Eve activities, including music, dance-a-longs, and fun costumed characters. The countdown will begin right before 9 pm, followed by a celebration of snowfall and fireworks! The Fernbank Museum of Natural History is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve party from 9 am till 12:30 pm on the 31st. Play with huge bubbles courtesy of the Georgia Bubbleman, and enjoy games and live music from B98.5. At noon, over 2,000 balloons will fall from the ceiling! Legoland Discovery Center is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve event as well, complete with a 2017 group build and fantastic contests and giveaways. The countdown will begin right before noon and culminate with a cascade of falling balloons!
