There are tons of fun events this week in Atlanta to celebrate America’s birthday. Gather your family and invite your friends to one of these family-friendly celebrations happening close to home!

Get on early start on the festivities at Sparks in the Park in Downtown Sugar Hill! Head to E.E. Robinson Park tonight for a free evening of fun for the whole family. Enjoy live music from the Mike Veal Band and a selection of fantastic food trucks. Bring your cooler and blanket, and hang out until dark for one of Gwinnett County’s best fireworks shows! Tonight, the City of Lawrenceville is hosting a special Prelude to the 4th and Gwinnett Bicentennial Celebration tonight! This fun event will take place on the lawn in Downtown Lawrenceville. Enjoy dinner at one of the incredible restaurants on the square, or pick from a selection of delicious food trucks along with beer and wine from McCray’s Tavern. Rock out to live music from Maggie Baugh and the Swingin’ Medallions. DJ Suspense will also be on hand to get the crowd pumped up! Enjoy an amazing fireworks show at dusk. Downtown Duluth is also kicking off the fun early with tonight’s Duluth Celebrates America event. Bring your coolers, blankets, and chairs and enjoy an evening under the stars. Acclaimed bands A-Town A-List and the 116th Army Band will be performing live, and there will be plenty of food trucks with a variety of delicious cuisine. Kids will love the activities area! Don’t miss the Mall of Georgia’s 16th Annual Star Spangled Fourth event! The fun starts at 3 pm near Dick’s Sporting Goods and Barnes & Noble with a KidZone, complete with inflatables, rock wall, and carnival games. (A small fee applies for each activity.) Live music will kicks off at 5 pm with The Throwback Experience and the Mike Veal Band. At 9:30 pm, lift your voice for a community singing of the National Anthem, followed by one of Gwinnett County’s largest firework displays! Stick around after the light show for an outdoor showing of “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” (rated PG-13). For more information, visit the Mall of Georgia website.

Celebrate the 4th all week with Stone Mountain’s Fantastic Fourth Celebration! Each evening through July 7th, enjoy the Lasershow Spectacular followed by an epic fireworks show – Stone Mountain has been voted the “Best Place to See Fireworks in Atlanta” by readers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution! Come early to enjoy all the activities Stone Mountain Park has to offer, including the Summit Skyride, train ride, paddle boats, and more. A special Sunset All-Attractions Pass is available after 4 pm, which includes private seating for the Lasershow and fireworks display. This year, Atlanta is moving its largest July 4th event to the International Plaza near the Georgia World Congress Center. While the venue may have temporarily changed, the celebration will be more fun than ever! The Fourth of July Celebration will feature an evening of live music and entertainment, followed by an incredible fireworks show that will light up the skyline. Gates will open at 6 pm, with live performances by American Idol finalist Caleb Lee Hutchinson and R&B group After 7 on the main stage. Fireworks will begin around 9:30 pm and will be broadcast live by WSB-TV. For more information, visit the event website.
