Head to the 13th annual Barefoot in the Park near Downtown Buford this weekend. Browse the extensive fine arts market, and sample craft beers and wine. There will also be live local performances throughout the day on the main concert stage! Proceeds from this free festival benefit the Arts Education Scholarship Fund, which provides annual scholarships to fine arts and performing arts students. Celebrate Atlanta’s rich cultural heritage at the Sweet Auburn SpringFest! Take a walking tour of the historic Sweet Auburn district, and sample delicious fare from a variety of hometown food vendors. There will be arts and crafts and kids’ activities, including a 150-foot zipline! The festival will take place from 11 am to 9 pm on Saturday and 1 to 8 pm on Sunday. If your mother has a green thumb, treat her to the Gardens for Connoisseurs Tour hosted by the Atlanta Botanical Garden! This one-of-a-kind event will feature a walking tour of ten incredible private gardens. Explore these special garden paradises and get some ideas for how you can landscape your own yard.
