Easter Events Across Metro ATL

Spring is finally here, and we’re hoping that all these April showers will, indeed, bring May flowers! When the sun comes out tomorrow, there are fantastic events planned across Metro Atlanta to help your family get its Easter celebration underway. From egg dyeing to beach-front egg hunts and sunrise services, there is something for everyone.

Natural Egg Dyeing at Atlanta Botanical Garden – Saturday, April 20th, learn about powerful dyes made from plants that create stunning colors for Easter. Cost is $5-$6 for three specially dyed eggs and lots of fun information. This drop-in event runs from 10am-Noon.

Stone Mountain Park Easter Sunrise Service – Celebrate Easter at 7am on Sunday, April 21st with a sunrise service at Stone Mountain Park, where there will be two simultaneous, non-denominational services, one at the top of the mountain, and one at the base of the mountain on the Memorial Lawn. Both services will feature sign language interpreters. The park will open at 4am and the Summit Skyride starts running at 4:30am.

Underwater Egg Hunt and Bunny Bonanza – Get to Buford on Saturday for this event like no other at the Bogan Park Aquatic Center. For just $15, kids can dive for Easter eggs in the pool, make fun crafts, and visit with the Easter Bunny. It happens April 20th starting at 9am.

Easter Egg Hunt and Movie at Margaritaville at Lanier Island – This evening egg hunt runs from 5pm to 6pm on Paradise Beach. Someone lucky will find the golden egg with a season pass for two inside! Afterward, stay to watch “Hop” on the big screen and visit with the Easter Bunny and Syd the Parrott. No gate fees or dock fees for this event!

Taste of Forsythe at Cumming Fairgrounds – Bring your basket to hunt and gather from over 25,000 eggs spread across the fairground lawn in Cumming! When all the eggs are gathered, stay for tasty restaurant samples and play in the kid’s zone. It happens April 20th from 11am to 5pm. Free admission and free parking!

Eggstravaganza Easter Event at Callonwolde – Visit the Callonwolde Fine Arts Center in Druid Hills this Saturday from 8am until noon for an “Eggstravaganza” like no other. Thousands of candy-filled eggs will be hidden in Callonwolde’s lovely spring gardens, and you’ll have a chance to meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny, get your face painted, and participate in lots of fun crafts and activities. Tickets are $7.50 online or $10 at the door.

We hope this Easter weekend brings your family joy and lots of fun. Happy Easter from all of us at Richardson Housing Group!
