Eighteen seniors from Gwinnett County Public Schools were recently named 2016 Gates Millenium Scholars, granting them free college admission! This award, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, promotes academic excellence for outstanding minority low-income students. This exclusive honor is awarded to just 1,000 students nationwide.
The eighteen students who received the award attend the following schools in Gwinnett County:
- Berkmar High School
- Central Gwinnett High School
- Dacula High School
- Discovery High School
- Duluth High School
- Grayson High School
- Gwinnett Schools of Mathematics, Science, and Technology
- Lanier High School
- Meadowcreek High School
- Parkview High School
- Peachtree Ridge High School
- South Gwinnett High School
