Halloween Fun in Atlanta

721px-Halloween_Jack-o'-lanternHalloween is almost here, and all of North Georgia is celebrating!  Here are some fun, family-friendly Halloween events occurring this month that you won’t want to miss.

LEGOLAND is celebrating Halloween with its Brick-or-Treat event each weekend in October.  Don your favorite costume and get ready for a fun afternoon of games, trick-or-treating, and, of course, tons of Lego activities!  Build a LEGO pumpkin to add to the LEGO pumpkin patch.  Take a guess at the number of pumpkins in MINILAND for your chance to win an annual pass!  LEGOLAND will host a costume contest on October 13 and November 1 at noon and 3 pm, with prizes being awarded for the best costumes!  For more information, visit LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s website.

Zoo Atlanta is hosting its annual Boo at the Zoo event on Saturdays and Sundays from October 17 to 31.  There are tons of activities for every age, including an inflatable corn maze, live music and dancing with “Little Beat,” special Halloween games and crafts, and costume contests each day.  Plus, you can take your photo with Zoo Atlanta’s signature characters such as Wild Thing, Ladybug Girl, Splat the Cat, Zhu Zhu the giant panda, Cricket the frog, and more!  Even the animals will get in on the fun!  For more information, visit Zoo Atlanta’s website.

Stone Mountain’s annual Pumpkin Fest has become a favorite tradition for families across north Georgia.  The Great Pumpkin Junction will feature special attractions, including the Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt and delicious Pie Eating Contest.   Wind your way through Spookley’s A-MAZE-ING Adventure as you hear the tale of The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin.  Join in on the Dance-A-Long Parade Party as you explore Crossroads, with an opportunity to meet Spookley himself!  Plus, you can enjoy all your favorite Stone Mountain attractions, such as the SkyHike and Summit Skyride.  For more information, visit Stone Mountain Park’s website.
