This weekend, invite your friends, family, and neighbors to one of these events in metro Atlanta to celebrate our treasured servicemen and servicewomen.

This morning at 11 am, Gwinnett County will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Fallen Heroes Memorial, located at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Chairman Charlotte Nash will speak, and the ceremony will include honor guards from county and local police and fire departments.

Also this morning, the Atlanta History Center will host its annual program at the on-site Veterans Park. Joe Galloway, an acclaimed war correspondent and best-selling author, will be the keynote speaker.  Following the ceremony, head inside the museum to learn about the Veterans History Project, which has conducted over 600 interviews with veterans and captured treasured recollections. Admission to today’s program is free, and active and retired veterans and up to five family members will receive free admission to the Atlanta History Center. Click here for more information.
