There are tons of great events happening across the greater Gwinnett area, including several close to RHG communities. Fireworks displays, food vendors, children’s activities, and live music are just a few reasons to get out and celebrate the 4th with your neighbors this weekend.
Sparkle in the Park – Lilburn
Sparkle in the Park happens on Monday, July 4th at the Lilburn City Park. The fun starts at 5:30pm, when balloon artists, face painters, bounce houses, vendors, and food trucks will open. This is family fun for all ages! At 7:30pm, The GlowBand will take the stage, followed by fireworks at approximately 9:30pm. Look for signage directing you to parking, and ride the shuttle to the park starting at 5:30pm.
Light Up the Lake – Buford
If you’ve never seen fireworks over the water, this is your year! Lanier Islands is once again hosting its Light Up the Lake Fireworks Independence Day Celebration at Lake Lanier. Starting July 3rd, a DJ will provide entertainment from 2-6pm, with fireworks at 10pm. On July 4th, enjoy live music from Back in Time and The Neons starting at 1pm. Prelude to the Fourth – Lawrenceville
The City of Lawrenceville is once again hosting a Prelude to the Fourth Fireworks Spectacular. The event happens on Friday, July 1st on the Lawrenceville Lawn. The fun starts at 5pm with music and food vendors. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for fireworks viewing beginning at dusk. This is a rain or shine event!
Kickoff the 4th – Duluth
The City of Duluth invites you to its new event: Kickoff to the 4th on Friday, July 1. The event will include a performance by A-Town A-List, a patriotic stage show, fun children’s inflatables and so much more. There will be themed photo ops, patriotic decorations, and the city’s beloved veteran flags will remain on display through the holiday.
Star Spangled Fourth – Buford
Hosted by the Mall of Georgia, this is the 14th annual Star Spangled Fourth starting at 5pm on Monday, July 4th. There will be children’s rides, inflatables, live music, food vendors, and a huge fireworks display. Free concerts in the Village Amphitheatre will include Ants Trippin’ from 5-7pm and The Woody’s from 7:30-9:30pm. Fireworks start at dusk, followed by “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” on the 70-foot outdoor screen.
Sparks in the Park – Sugar Hill
Visit Sugar Hill on July 3rd for Sparks in the Park, with food trucks, inflatables, and live music from the Jimmy Buffet cover band A1A. The event begins at 6pm and runs until 10pm, with fireworks starting at 9:40pm. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and food and settle in for an amazing show.
