Tomorrow evening, on Thursday, October 27th, Live Healthy Gwinnett is hosting Walk among the Stars, a special event to celebrate the achievements of local afterschool programs and bring awareness to the need for more afterschool programs to serve the country’s children. Families are invited to E.E. Robinson Park in Sugar Hill from 5:30 to 8 pm to participate in tons of activities, including interactive games, STEAM-oriented activities, a Scholastic Book Fair, inflatables, and more! Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character. This year’s community partners for Walk Among the Stars include Gwinnett County Parks and Rec, Children’s Health Care of Atlanta – Strong4Life, J.M. Tull Gwinnett-Family YMCA, and Gwinnett County Public Library. This event is free and open to the public!
Lights On Afterschool is organized by the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit public awareness and advocacy organization working to ensure that all children have access to quality afterschool programs.
