Gwinnett Schools Named Among the Nation’s Best

The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology is among the state's top high school scoring over 1900 on SAT and sending 100 percent of students to college. We take a look at the AP Physics class exercise Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Vino Wong

Six schools from Gwinnett County and Buford City have been named among the best high schools in the nation, according to recent rankings by Newsweek Magazine!  The publication recognized Brookwood, Parkview, Central Gwinnett, Norcross and Buford High Schools, as well as the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology. Brookwood was ranked on the “America’s Best High School” list, and the other schools ranked highly on the “Beating the Odds” list for helping students to excel despite economic obstacles.  The rankings were based on “college readiness” and considered a number of factors, including graduation rates, high school enrollment rates, international baccalaureate courses, participation in dual enrollment programs, and SAT and ACT scores.
