July 4th Fun This Weekend

There are tons of fun events in Atlanta this weekend to celebrate America’s birthday.  Gather your family and invite your friends to one of these family-friendly celebrations!

Fourth of July Celebration at Centennial Olympic Park

Don’t miss this spectacular celebration in the heart of Atlanta, billed as the Southeast’s largest fireworks show! Start the evening with live performances from classic artists like Bobby Brown and CeCe Peniston, and new favorites such as Kristian Bush from Sugarland. The gates will open at 6 pm – arrive early to get a good seat on the lawn and prepare for the fireworks spectacular at 9 pm! For more information, visit the event website.

Star Spangled Fourth at Mall of Georgia

If you’d like to stick closer to home, head to the Mall of Georgia for Gwinnett’s largest 4th of July celebration! The Kids Zone will include bouncy houses, rides, and other fun activities for children. At 5 pm, kick back to live music from The Woodys and A1A, the official Jimmy Buffet tribute band. Food and beverages will be sold on-site. The fireworks will begin at 9:35 pm, followed by an outdoor showing of the Lego Batman movie. For more information, visit the Mall of Georgia’s Facebook page.

Sparks in the Park

On Monday, July 3rd, Sugar Hill will host its annual Sparks in the Park event at E.E. Robinson Park. Starting at 6 pm, enjoy food and drink concessions (including frozen treats), inflatables for the kids, and live music from the Electric Avenue Band!  The event runs from 6 to 10 pm, and fireworks will begin after sundown. Shuttle service will be available at Sugar Hill Church starting at 5 pm. For more information, visit the event website.

Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park

Stone Mountain Park is celebrating the 4th all weekend long! The park will have a spectacular fireworks show each night from July 1st through 4th. To celebrate Stone Mountain’s milestone 50 years of Independence Day festivities, the fireworks spectacular will kick off with 50 golden bursts of light. Arrive at the park early in the afternoon to enjoy the Geyser Towers, SkyHike, paddle boats, scenic train, and other fun activities.  For more information, visit Stone Mountain Park’s website.
